I feel the same way with art (including photography) and language as well. It would be nice of artists, photographers, musicians, linguists, etc. all would be willing to donate their time... but people don't understand the amount of HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS, MONTHS, YEARS, not to mention thousands of dollars of studies and travel to hone that craft to what it is! There are so many trades and talents that people have, most of which people quickly/easily are willing to pay for. Why not others?
